New artworks like jigsaws puzzles

Johannes BlonK ready to assemble

I'm ready for the last phase in the creation of a new artwork. For me the real initial moment of creation lies far behind me. When I assemble the artwork I'm working towards the moment of "truth": do all elements fit in place as foreseen, is the artwork in "balance", do the colors match?

Spreaded out on the table you see the 39 wooden elements needed for this piece of art. Each part is covered by 7-8 layers of primer, paint and varnish. You probably won't have the slightest idea what arwork may come out of this "puzzle". I do ofcourse, approximately. That sounds strange but you have to take in mind that painting all elements takes a lot of time. Therefore I create a manual (it lies on the right side of the table) so I do know what it should look like and where to place all the elements.

Assembling the artwork is a tricky business. It's important to stay calm and avoid any scratches. I will post a video here shortly to show you how I proceed. So....
Keep coming back and thanks for your visit!
